Ayyappa Puja (Tue Nov 17)

Ayyappa, known as the son of Mohini and Shiva, is one of the most revered South Indian deities, and this puja will be quite unique from others that we've performed. In India, Ayyappa Temples are traditionally built with 18 steps, each signifying a desire that we must conquer to truly reach Ayyappa. This will be a great chance to not only have an auspicious end of the semester, but to experience a different regional form of worship.

To learn more about Ayyappa, read this wikipedia article.

If you are familiar with this puja, and/or have any suggestions or bhajans that you would wish to include in our program, please email harvarddharma@gmail

We hope to see you all there! Remember, delicious prasad will be served after the puja!
