Join us in HAW's final event by flying authentic Indian Kites in the Quad! This fun-filled event is a celebration of Makar Sankranti, a festival which signifies the movement of the sun toward the North. In Northern India (particularly in Gujarat and Rajasthan), the day is celebrated by flying kites from rooftops and terraces. The festival actually occurs in mid-January, but we are celebrating it later to take advantage of the nice weather. Don't miss it - 200 kites flying around in the sky is truly a site to see.
